North East Lincolnshire faces education provision difficulties that have inspired an ambitious response.
The wholesale transformation of our secondary schools, is the largest that this Council has planned. We are aware of our strengths and limitations in our capacity to deliver on this area-wide, large-scale project and are engaging externally to source the necessary expertise to guarantee successful delivery.
Getting our educational provision right is fundamental to the achievement of all the Council's priorities. Education is the means by which we will increase our community capacity and confidence. This is necessarily a long process, but we understand the urgency of meeting the challenge now.
The first priority in the Council's Education Development Plan is to develop excellent schools. We intend to deliver on this priority.
Our objectives, set out in the plan, 'Better Schools - A Better Tomorrow' (BSBT) reflects our responsibility and total commitment to making a difference in North East Lincolnshire.
